Dynamic Dingbatz

Typically, a dingbats are a typographical symbol other than a letter or number, to add visual interest; to frame text or large initials.  In Zentangle, Dingbatz (with a “z”) are used in a similar way.  They are fun to draw using familiar Zentangle techniques, and they can add a little magic to just about any surface.

The beginning class is a prerequisite. For returning students, please bring your beginners kit. Contact me if you need to schedule the beginning class prior to taking this class. I will be glad to give you a private lesson teaching you the techniques and designs needed from the beginning class.

Washi Tape Beyond the Basics

I got this idea from my my friend, CZT Nancy Domnauer, from Line Dot Calm who came up with this class idea! We will use Washi Tape as our “string” (one of the 8 steps) to separate our tangle designs. This class allows participants to further develop their Zentangle practice. It's fun! It's relaxing!  Come learn some new designs in our Zentangle Beyond Basics class using Washi Tape. Students will learn ways to combine a variety of beautiful tangle patterns, and ways to incorporate the meditative aspect of this art form into their Zentangle art piece.  It’s fun! It’s relaxing! It helps increase your focus, creativity, relaxation, concentration, and so much more.

Organic Zentangles

A Trip to Tripoli

This class is all about adjacent triangles and the wonderful surprises that we create within each triangle.  It’s a basic beginning lesson on Fragments which will stretch your creativity.

A Fragment is the design elements that is placed in the spaces, in this class-the triangles. The fragments can be rotated, mirrored, etc. to produce a variety of outcomes in a very simple and magical way.  This lesson is taught in a book titled, "Primer Vol. I" written by Zentangle®  founders, Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts.
